In Langenberg, 300 employees produce high-quality, rolled semi-finished products made of copper and copper alloys. Our plant is located on the outskirts of Velbert-Langenberg and has a direct connection to the S-Bahn (metro) and busses, making it easily accessible from your home.

Training
You will learn

  • to work on various materials and how to produce construction components / component groups using manual and machine-based production processes (including filing, sawing, drilling, turning, milling and welding);
  • everything about joining technology (soldering, melt welding and additive production) and assembly technologies as well as about modern control technology (pneumatics, electropneumatics, electrical engineering and hydraulics);
  • to maintain, inspect, repair and commission various machines and complex production systems;
  • to rectify faults and repair defective systems
  • to plan and organize work processes and control and evaluate the results;
  • to work economically, independently and responsibly;
  • to work with quality assurance, environmental protection and work safety and to assume responsibility. 

Training process
Your training will take 3.5 years. In the first year you will learn the basics of metalworking with our partner Lhoist Germany in Wülfrath. As of the 2nd year, you will be mainly working in those departments where our systems and machines are maintained and repaired.

Vocational school
You will acquire fundamental theoretical knowledge at the Niederberg vocational college.
