Training
You will learn

• to work on various materials and how to produce construction components / component groups using manual and machine-based production processes (including filing, sawing, drilling, turning, milling and welding);
• everything about joining technology (soldering, melt welding and additive production) and assembly technologies as well as about modern control technology (pneumatics, electropneumatics, electrical engineering and hydraulics);
• to maintain, inspect, repair and commission various machines and complex production systems;
• to rectify faults and repair defective systems
• to plan and organize work processes and control and evaluate the results;
• to work economically, independently and responsibly;
• to work with quality assurance, environmental protection and work safety and to assume responsibility. 

Training process
Your training will take 3.5 years. In the first year you will learn the basics of metalworking with our partner Lhoist Germany in Wülfrath. As of the 2nd year, you will be mainly working in those departments where our systems and machines are maintained and repaired.

Vocational school
You will acquire fundamental theoretical knowledge at the Niederberg vocational college.

• Maintain and repair machines and systems
• Plan and control production processes
• Ensure, check and document product quality

Training
You will learn

• skills in the production of electrical and electronic circuits, including soldering and installation technology;
• about the function and use of electrical and electronic components, such as transistors and capacitors;
• installation work and how to commission and maintain electronic components;
• how to plan, commission and maintain technical equipment in buildings, energy-technical and automated systems;
• to program automation systems;
• to plan and organize work processes and control and evaluate the results;
• to work economically, independently and responsibly;
• to work with quality assurance, environmental protection and work safety and how to assume responsibility.

Electrical engineering is a future-oriented profession in high demand. At Wieland, you will be working at all locations and business units. You will mostly work in a maintenance team and ensure the operational readiness of our machines. Your responsibilities will include the following tasks:

• Analyze and rectify faults in our systems
• Maintain and repair the electrical and electronic systems in our machines
• Build, modify and inspect electrical and electronic system parts

Training
You will learn

Your training will take 2 years. You will spend the first few months with our partner Lhoist Germany in Wülfrath and learn the basics of metalworking. After that, you will get acquainted with different systems and processes in production.
