Our Villingen plant is located in the Lantwatten industrial area directly below the Agentur für Arbeit (unemployment agency). About three hundred employees manufacture rolled semi-finished products at this location.
Training
You will learn
- how to work on various materials and how to produce construction components / component groups using manual and machine-based production processes (including filing, sawing, drilling, turning, milling and welding);
- all material information about joining and assembly technologies as well as modern control technology (pneumatics/hydraulics);
- to maintain, inspect, repair and commission various machines and complex production systems;
- how to rectify faults and repair defective systems
- to plan and organize work processes and control and evaluate the results;
- to work economically, independently and responsibly;
- to work with quality assurance, environmental protection and work safety and to assume responsibility.
Training process
Your training will take 3.5 years. You will spend the initial period to part 1 of the final exam at our training cooperation partner ebm-papst in St. Georgen. You will spend the remaining two years of your training at the Villingen location. Initially, you will get acquainted with all departments that pertain to this profession. Then you will switch to your actual department and will sit for final exam part 2.
Vocational school
You will acquire fundamental theoretical knowledge at the vocational college at the trade school in Villingen-Schwenningen.
